On our way from Seogwipo’s open market toward Lee Jung Seop Street,
we both called out from the car at once:
“Wait — what is that? I love it. Let’s go!”
We parked at the Lee Jung Seop Museum lot and walked a good while to reach it:
a general store we stumbled upon on the road, small and shining like a gem.
We had a warm conversation with the owner, whose taste felt perfectly in tune with ours,
and my wife picked up two pieces of clothing she loved.
As the sun leaned low,
these small, unplanned scenes made for a beautiful afternoon.
That evening Jin-oh showed up at our door weary from the heat;
we finished the day with grilled corn, my wife’s sweet-and-sour pork, and pancakes.
A moonlit night the Jeju locals would call adorable — dal-i akkoun bam.
